THE SARONIC

SHORT RIDES

This itinerary offers the opportunity to explore small treasures, within a very short distance from Athens and from one destination to the other. The combination of cosmopolitan aura with more quiet and secluded ports is perfect for those who seek fun along with serenity.

EMBARKATION: ATHENS

DAY 1 - POROS

Start your holiday on the beautiful green island of Poros, the greenest of all the Saronic islands. The beautiful beaches with pine trees almost reaching the waters will enchant you, while the picturesque port with the clock tower is ideal for a walk in the evening.

DAY 2 - SPETSES

The princess of the Saronic Gulf, the classiest and most elegant island will definitely steal the visitors’ hearts with its beautiful sandy beaches, its car-free alleys that you can only access on foot or by horse-carriage and its intense nightlife.

DAY 3 - PLAKA LEONIDION-PORTO HELI

Plaka is a cosmopolitan beach in the Peloponese, where you can relax and do water sports. After that, Porto Heli, a small Peloponese port, will welcome you with its vivid nightlife and delicious fresh sea food.

DAY 4 - HYDRA

If Spetses is the princess of the Saronic, Hydra is most definitely the queen! Built amphitheatrically on a cliff and completely free of cars, Hydra will enchant you with its breathtaking sea views, the fresh mediterranean food and the beautiful houses decorated with jasmine and bougainvillea.

DAY 5 - EPIDAVROS

Although the town of Epidavros is mostly famous for its theatre festival and its ancient theatre with the infamous acoustic, the place is also worth visiting for its lovely beaches and the small coves with crystal waters.

DAY 6 - AGGISTRI

The small island of Aggistri will take your breath away with the clarity and the color of its sea! Turquoise water with bright sand will give you the impression you are on an exotic island, not just one hour away from the bustling capital of Greece. At nighttime, the roads are closed to cars and you can stroll along the sea side, have dinner in one of the traditional taverns or drink a cocktail under the stars.

DAY 7 - AEGINA

The island closest to Pireaus and the one with the most attractions, promises to offer something for every taste. If you are religious, you should not miss out on visiting the Monastery of St Nektarios and if you are a history-lover, the ancient temple of Afaia will make your journey worthwhile. For those interested in relaxing at the beach, the island has a variety of options to choose from. And don’t forget the traditional food in one of the local taverns.

DAY 8 - ATHENS (DISEMBARKATION)

The bustling capital of Greece, full of life and diversity. Visit ancient monuments, such as the Acropolis and the Roman Market, walk through the romantic alleys of Plaka, go shopping in the pedestrian area of Ermou, enjoy your lunch or dinner in one of the local restaurants or have a taste of “Athens by night” in one of the cities roof-top bars and clubs.
