THE DODECANESE
OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
Starting and ending at the lordly island of Kos, this itinerary will appeal to the charterer looking for diversity and peace in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean.
EMBARKATION: KOS
DAY 1 - LEROS
This relatively unknown gem is the island of Artemis, the ancient Greek goddess of hunt and wild animals. Full of sandy or pebbly beaches, Leros is a collection of natural harbors, coves and picturesque villages.
DAY 2 - LIPSI
A group of 30 small islets, home of Kalypso- the enchantress, Lipsi can offer peace and relaxation in their endless blue surroundings, the wonderful caves and the white sand beaches.
DAY 3 - PATMOS
The island of the Apocalypse, a deeply religious place, dominated by the Monastery of Saint John the Theologian, is place protected by Unesco. Its volcanic terrain and uneven soil has turned it into a destination for nature lovers.
DAY 4 - LEVITHA
This small Aegean island is almost untouched by man. You can enjoy the beautiful beach, relax under the sun and encounter some wild life, without any internet distractions. The one and only tavern is a must-see, as it serves homemade food prepared daily by the only family that lives on the island.
DAY 5 - KALYMNOS
Kalymnos is known as the rock climbing island and it is famous for its sponge harvesting tradition. Perfect for snorkeling and scuba diving, with a sea full of surprises -old ship wrecks and enchanting caves.
DAY 6 - ASTYPALAIA
This beautiful island, shaped like a butterfly, is full of white-washed villages and beautiful blue- green-water beaches. The capital is among the most picturesque villages in Greece, built amphitheatrically and forming two bays at its base, with a majestic castle towering above.
DAY 7 - KOS
Kos is the third largest in the Dodecanese group of islands and home to Hippocrates, the father of medicine. Choose among superb beaches, historic sites, medieval monuments and beautiful villages and local restaurants.
