THE IONIANS
BLUE LAGOON
The Ionian Sea is famous for its turquoise waters and diverse islands. This itinerary will take visitors to the most idyllic landscapes, with breathtaking views and exotic scenery.
EMBARKATION: CORFU
DAY 1 - PAXOS
This island is a little paradise on earth. The capital, Gaios is separated from its natural breakwater by a narrow channel, making it the most remarkable port landscape in Greece. The Venetian castle gives the island the air of a fairy tale, while the museum and the chapels scattered around the island are a site for every visitor.
DAY 2 - ANTIPAXOS
Right across the island of Paxos, Antipaxos is a very small and serene islet, protected by Natura 2000. Its beaches are full of caves, where you can swim, snorkel or even surf, if the weather permits it.
DAY 3 - LEFKADA
This island is renowned for surfing and paragliding activities. The “Kathisma” beach is famous for its breathtaking view and appeals to the adventurous traveler, as it is on the foothill of a steep cliff. Don’t forget to visit Agios Nikitas and Nydri, two of the most beautiful villages and of course, the capital with its numerous sightseeing activities.
DAY 4 - MEGANISI
Meganisi is a small islet very close to Lefkada, which is ideal for swimming, snorkelling and even windsurfing. The crystal blue water reminds you of an exotic destination and its proximity to Lefkada makes it perfect for a day trip, in case you do not wish to spend the night.
DAY 5 - ITHACA
The island Odysseus was struggling to return to for ten years, fighting off gods, people and temptation. It is a peaceful and quiet place with sandy beaches and impressive villages. There are hiking and mountain bike trails for the most daring ones and lovely strolling areas for wanderers.
DAY 6 - KEFALONIA
This green island is known for its long sandy beaches and blue-green waters. It is full of pine trees, olive trees and vineyards, which is also why the Kefalonian wine is one of the best. A visit to the village of Assos is an absolute must, as it is considered one of the most beautiful and scenic villages in Europe.
DAY 7 - ZANTE
Home to the endangered sea turtle species, caretta-caretta, this island is known for its culinary tradition, affected by its Venetian past and for the breathtaking Navagio beach, hosting a real shipwreck on the sand. You will be amazed by swimming in the Caves, with waters so clear, they resemble a pool and you will be delighted to visit Bochali, one of the highest points in the island with impressive view.
