The luxurious simplicity of a Greek summer
One of my earliest childhood memories is sitting on the beach, under a pine tree, savoring a red ripe tomato, with juice dripping on my chin. And though the years have gone by, the taste of that tomato still lingers on my tongue; it was the best tomato I have ever eaten-not because it was really that tasty, but because I was a kid, in the sea, in the middle of the summer.
Growing up, I often go back to that memory, when I need to lighten the weight of every day life. The tomatoes, the peaches, the sunbeds, the little straw mat with the pink lining, the smell of salt and thyme, the nap under the pine trees with the sound of the waves…they all hold some of my innocence.
And I realize now, that all the 5 star hotels, all the high end destinations, all the top-notch restaurants I have visited cannot compare to the luxury of that small beach of my memories.
Luxury that does not lie in linen tablecloths, satin sheets and silver cuttlery- though these are also much valued and desired. Luxury that lies to the one thing all of us lose as we grow up: the carefreeness of our childhood summers, when all the world belonged to us.
This simplicity and carefreeness is what we aim to bring back to our guests at Artemis Maritime. Not by disregarding traditional luxury. By redefining it. By upgrading it from a sum of objects, to a total of feelings and unique experiences.
Join us on board and we promise to prove that true luxury lies in authenticity.
