When customers become guests
A customer is by definition a person who buys goods or services from a seller in exchange for money. A guest, on the other hand, is someone invited to spend time at another person’s home.
On appearance, these two words seem worlds apart. The first implies a relationship that is strictly professional and profit oriented, while the latter reveals a more personal affectionate one. But are they really that different?
When it comes to yachting, the answer is not only are they not that different, but they are also complementary senses.
There can be no yachting without a financial interaction. The owner offers his property and crew and the charterer in return spends money to be the owner for a week or more.
And that is where the magic begins. A friendly welcome, as if a friend has come after a long time to visit. A homey scent on the freshly washed sheets. A candlelight dinner with the most carefully selected menu and wine. A kind reminder to wear a lifejacket while on the watertoys. A small personal gift before disembarkation. The smiles, the knowing looks, the way every desire is accommodated with care.
That is what makes every customer feel at home. And that is why our guests keep coming back. Because they embark as strangers and they disembark as friends.
