Posidonia 2026
Posidonia is the must-attend event for anyone working in any part of the maritime sector. Exhibitors from all over the world show the dynamic potential of marine industries. Greece is a pilar for this potential, with a heavy nautical history and a strong international presence.
This year, for the first time ever, the yachting field was featured alongside those sectors that will define the marine future on Greece. A carefully selected panel of yachting professionals gave us their insight as to what is expected in the charter world today. Mr Dafnias from Alpha Marine LTD, Ms Kaia from Fraser Yachts, Mr Katsikadis from Lamda Marinas, Ms Lechopoulou from Athenian Yachts and Ms Polemi as the President of HCPY, shared with us their perspective for the present and their vision for the future.

In these last few years, investments are being made in marinas to alleviate the berthing difficulties, especially during high season. At the same time, innovative design of new built yachts and a fleet of supreme vessels put the country forward as a leader in the sector.
Greece has always been a very popular chartering destination. What is more, gastronomy and tradition are now the main trend in yachting worldwide, outcasting the “luxury first” moto of the past. The onboard experience blends with authentic local color, to offer the most unique tailor made holidays.
The shift has been well noticed by all of us yachting entrepreneurs, as requests oriented to a more cultural journey and to a serene relaxed feeling aboard are becoming the norm. Our country, not only is not short at anything compared to other destinations, but -on the contrary- it has the whole package: sun, sea, diversity, gastronomy, winery, tradition and a rich history. All essential elements that, if combined in the right way, can guarantee an unforgettable charter.
